For ages we crawled out of the darkness, towards the Light, thinking that it was our friend; that it would show us the truth. Now, as we stand surrounded by light, we see nothing else, not even the shadows. Leaving just the Light, and in its glare we stand blinded once again.
It’s impossible to be someone we’re not. Even if we’re putting up a facade or pretending to be something else, that too is part of who we are. So telling someone to stop pretending, is akin to telling them not to be themselves. We are who we are, even when we’re not.
There are no simple acts. Every single moment that we experience or think are actively choosing, has a story that has been 13.7 billion years in the making. If every particle had not reacted in exactly the same way over these billions of years, you would not be reading this.
