Update on school meals vouchers, by the end of 19 January, 14,900 orders had been placed by schools and £6.72m of eCodes had already been redeemed into supermarket gift cards for families. This is ahead of schedule. Thank you to school admins for all their work!

Mass, regular testing will continue; it’s only the use of contact testing instead of isolation that is paused. We are also moving from once- to twice-weekly testing for staff. While daily contact testing is paused, close contacts should isolate. (3/3)
Stories saying mass testing of pupils & staff is paused are completely untrue. There is no change to the main rollout of regular testing in schools, which is already finding teachers and pupils with coronavirus who do not have symptoms (1/3)
