#DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement and neither does ableism! In elementary school I was bullied for having tourette's and already ashamed of going to therapy. In high school, I lied about my doctor's appointments and why I missed so much school. We're taught to be ashamed early on.

I was having super intense pain in my legs and back at a young age. 8-9. It got dismissed as growing pains but here I am, nearly 21 and I still have the same pain, if not worse. I was considering a cane. I'm still not taken seriously by doctors.

I’ve actually been through cancer scare to the point of emergency surgery more than once. Reality is that’ll probably kill me if Epilepsy doesn’t. Now try living knowing that every day. Never mind baseline mental health without a complex history

I was athletic, strong and a fast reader until an accident took that from me in my mid 20s. I still had so much that I wanted to do, finish college, get married all that stuff. But that took a backseat to my medical needs. Even so I’m not giving up. #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement
